Generally, all the new-coming android phones come with an IR blaster pre-installed which can be used to send signals to the home theatre system just like a usual remote.  Now to further use your phone as a remote control, download an application. The most trusted and suggested application is one which is a third-party universal remote application. We recommend downloading the IR universal remote application to operate any component of your home theatre system.

There are various apps available depending on the manufacturer of your home theatre system. The manufacturer decides whether to provide a remote control to all the components in a single application or make one for each component in a home theatre. Just make sure that your application is compatible with your home-theatre system.
