Motorola Moto X4 Mobile Review

Design: The design of the Moto X4 is very impressive and stunning, with a glass front and curved glass back, the phone has a rigid aluminum frame and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It’s made predominantly of glass, like most phones seem to be nowadays, the corners are nicely rounded and the backside is ever so slightly packed along the edges allowing the phone to rest comfortably in the hand. Now With an IP68 rating, the Moto X4 is both water and dust-resistant, and it retain its 3.5mm headphone jack. The display have a top and lower bezel, this is not how our current generation looking forward to but now they are used with the large forward fitting speaker and front flash, along with the Fingerprint sensor which sits below the screen. The screen of the Moto X4 doesn’t have edge-to-edge, nor does it have curved glass or rounded corners. It’s just a normal Smartphone display without any edges. It’s an LCD display that measures in at 5.2 inches with a resolution of Full HD. The dimply is vibrant and bright with excellent color accuracy and viewing angles.  The display is easily readable indoors and out and offers multi touch just as most smart phones nowadays. Overall, the X4’s screen is crisp and pleasant-looking. However, Motorola has opted for an LCD panel rather than AMOLED, which is disappointing given the X family’s heritage.

Specifications:  Right now, the X4 falls directly in the mid-range category, so the Moto X4 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor and 3 GB of RAM for running apps and multitasking. In Moto X4 Games run well, including graphic intensive games manage to run at full graphics and no lag from the gaming experience. Software: Motorola’s software has always been great and excellent, and if we use it, it feels and handles well on the Moto X4. It’s running an essentially stock build of Android Nougat 7.1.1 which Moto has unique futures as the ambient display, the double chop to turn on the flashlight, wrist twist to launch the camera, and many others. All of which provide some nice utility on top of the stock-like experience. Because this is an Android One device, the Moto X4 will receive timely software updates, so it’s highly likely that Oreo will be landing on the X4 relatively soon.

Camera:  Now a days, Dual cameras are all the rage on smartphones right now and with the Moto X4, Motorola is bringing that dual camera experience in a more affordable package. We’ve already seen a dual-camera smartphone from Motorola with the Z2 Force; the X4 features a secondary wide angle lens, whereas the Z2 Force has a monochrome sensor. The Moto X4 is made up of dual cameras at the rear, with one 12 MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and Dual Pixel AF while the other an 8 MP wide lens camera with an f/2.2 aperture. A huge improvement in the dual camera experience of the Moto X4 from previous Moto devices.

Battery Life: The Moto X4 comes with a 3000 MAh battery. This isn’t unusually huge for a mid-range Android phone, but nor is it small Battery life will range from 4 hours of screen on time to 11 hours of screen on time depending on what your usage patterns look like. Now a days, On an average the phone lasts a full day and then some, but in scenarios where you may need extra battery the Turbo Power charger can charge you up for a good 6-8 hours of usage in about 15 minutes. Verdict:  The Moto X4 is a stylish and, capable mid-range smartphone, They’re meant to offer great experiences that are simple, reliable, and affordable with extra flourishes kept to a minimum. The Moto X4 accomplishes these objectives very well, and you won’t find many smartphones at this price that give you a dual camera experience, overall great hardware, and speedy software updates. For this price and for IP68 alone the Moto X4 may just be the right phone in this price bracket, and with a lack of serious competition in this price range, Motorola may just reap the benefits of their pricing strategy. In the market for a phone for Around Rs 20000? give serious thought to the Moto X4.
