How to use WhatsApp for web on your PC, tablet or laptop?
Step 1: Using WhatsApp for web is not that easy as only Google Chrome Browser is supported. Open the Chrome browser on your PC or Tablet and open the URL https://web.whatsapp.com (this could also be done on Mac OSX, but not on iOS). When you want to open it on a tablet, first open the site on your PC. A QR code will appear on the display of your PC. There is no need to install a QR reader in order to read what is shown in the QR code.
Step 2: Launch WhatsApp on your phone and click the three dots on the top to look for more choices, then click on “WhatsApp on the internet”
Step 3: Now a QR reader will appear on your phone’s display and face the screen on to the screen of your computer to read the code. You will get logged to WhatsApp on the web.
Step 4: If you are doing this on a shared PC then for privacy you may turn off desktop notifications in the settings menu. On the phone, pressing the three dot icon will show up the options. Choose Notifications and deactivate Desktop Alerts and Sounds.

Step 5: Starting the chat on PC is little different from what you do on the phone. On the phone you have to press the new message icon to choose someone from your contacts, but on the desktop you have to use the search function to converse and filter the current chats.
Step 6: During conversation the interface adapts to that of the phone, with mic icons and smileys sitting on the two sides of the text entry field below and a paper clip icon is provided to save files. There is ‘more options’ icon that allows viewing the contacts. On the phone you get the single/twin/blue-tick to show you the messages sent, delivered or read.
Step 7: When your computer and phone gets connected, you will be able to organize other computers which have logged in through Options. You can sign out from any computers or you can do the same from the PC you have signed in by using Options. By default WhatsApp for web will keep you logged in till you log out but once you log out you need to follow the QR code procedure to log in again.
